  3. ECHO       SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS:

  5. ECHO       IBM  PC or compatible microcomputer with 640  kbytes  
  6. ECHO       of  RAM,  one floppy disk drive, monochrome monitor,
  7. ECHO       hard  disk, clock/calendar, serial port and parallel
  8. ECHO       port.
  9. ECHO.        
  10. ECHO       Use  a keyboard with seperate cursor & numeric  key
  11. ECHO       pads, for easier operation.
  12. ECHO.           
  13. ECHO       Epson compatible printer.
  14. ECHO       Use  2  ply paper,  if you want to give  a  customer 
  15. ECHO       receipt, and keep a copy.
  16. ECHO.           
  17. ECHO       OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:

  19. ECHO       Electronic cash drawer 
  20. ECHO.        
  21. ECHO       Bar code reader 
  22. ECHO.        
  23. ECHO       Receipt printer

  27. ECHO    PREPARATION
  28. ECHO.        
  29. ECHO    When  you  register  your software you  will  be  sent  a 
  30. ECHO    diskette with your name and address the way you want it to 
  31. ECHO    appear on your receipts and reports. You cannot edit this
  32. ECHO    name and address.
  33. ECHO.        
  34. ECHO    Do not use the original Sales Register Diskette !!! 
  35. ECHO    Make a backup of your Sales Register Diskettes.
  36. ECHO    If  you do not know how to format and  copy  diskettes, 
  37. ECHO    please refer to your computer users manual.
  38. ECHO.        
  39. ECHO    For  ease of operation,  you may want to label all your 
  40. ECHO    function keys. Please refer to pages 4 and 5.
  41. ECHO    You  will  not be able to operate  the  cash  register 
  42. ECHO    program efficiently,  if you do not label your function 
  43. ECHO    keys.
  44. ECHO    You  may  print  keytop labels after you  install  your 
  45. ECHO    Sales Register software to your hard disk.  At the  SR\ 
  46. ECHO    prompt, type label and press enter.

  50. ECHO    INSTALLATION:
  51. ECHO.        
  52. ECHO    Put the Sales Register program diskette #1 in drive A.
  53. ECHO    Type  A: PRESS THE ENTER KEY
  54. ECHO    Type INSTALL A: C: PRESS THE ENTER KEY
  55. ECHO    This will create a sub-directory SR on drive C and copy 
  56. ECHO    all the files from diskette #1 in drive A to the SR sub-
  57. ECHO    directory  on  drive C.  You will be prompted to  insert 
  58. ECHO    each program diskette in turn,  untill all of your Sales 
  59. ECHO    Register program diskettes have been copied to your hard 
  60. ECHO    drive.
  61. ECHO    You  can install from any floppy disk drive to any  hard 
  62. ECHO    drive,  just by entering the proper drive letter for the 
  63. ECHO    source and destination disk drive.
  64. ECHO    Type B: PRESS THE ENTER KEY
  65. ECHO    Type INSTALL B: D: PRESS THE ENTER KEY
  66. ECHO    This  will  install the SALES REGISTER distribution disk 
  67. ECHO    files from drive B to hard disk drive D.
  68. ECHO.        
  69. ECHO    A sample inventory file & customer file is provided on your
  70. ECHO    distribution diskettes.

  74. ECHO    Prepare your printer to print an 85 page users guide.
  75. ECHO    After the Sales Register users guide has been printed,
  76. ECHO    type SR AND PRESS THE ENTER KEY
  77. ECHO    This will load the SALES REGISTER program.
  78. ECHO    You may skip to chapter 5-1, BEGIN CASH REGISTER 
  79. ECHO    OPERATIONS, to test the cash register functions.
